Recharging our economy and putting Floridians back to work is a top priority. Reducing the tax burden and streamlining regulation will help create an economic climate for businesses to relocate or expand and hire more workers.

Lower taxes, smaller government

Doc is a conservative who will stand up for the rights of taxpayers. He believes we must hold the line on taxes and require government to live within its means.

Education

Doc understands the importance of providing our children with a quality education. That’s why improving public education in K-12 is a priority.  Improving our schools begins with rewarding excellent teachers, raising standards and accountability.

Environment

Energy independence is essential to our economic vitality. Doc believes finding a balance between meeting our energy needs and our desire to preserve our environment is achievable.

Health Care

Medicaid consumes a third of Florida’s state budget. Doc believes that in order to be most efficient with the funds that we have available, we must remain committed to looking for ways to reduce costs while maintaining critical core services.

Property Insurance

To have a vibrant and affordable property insurance market with more options for consumers, Florida must attract more private insurance companies to create competition. Consumers should have the freedom to choose the type of residential policy and premium that is best for them without necessary intervention from regulators.

Border Security

America is the land of opportunity and we should welcome those who enter our country legally. Doc believes current immigration laws should be strengthened. Border security is an economic and national security issue. Those who immigrate to America must enter legally and respect our laws.

Pro-Life

Through science and his medical training he knows that life begins at conception. He believes that we have a moral obligation to protect the life of the unborn.

Second Amendment

As a life member of the NRA, Doc is a strong supporter of the second amendment and defends the right of individuals to bear arms.
